SPRUCING UP FOR SPRING
Yay! Spring is here and I am so thrilled. I’m loving the warmer temperatures, but my curb appeal needs a little more love. I’m planning to add a few ferns, some mulch, and update my patio furniture. While I’m making my list, I thought it would be the perfect time to share a few tips with you all too. So here goes…..
1. Get it Green- The most important thing you can do to spruce up for spring is focus on the outdoors. Now is a good time of year to treat your lawns and plant grass seeds. I recommend choosing annuals with low maintenance to keep a lasting impression throughout the summer. Impatiens are typically considered low maintenance and can be purchased as annuals.
2. Pressure wash- pressuring washing your home can take years off your home and restore your home to its former glory. Some hardware and home improvement stores rent out pressure washers, so this could be a nice do it yourself project.
3. Get Creative Outside- I suggest treating your front porch and back porch area like another room. Consider updating or painting the chairs on your front porch or back porch. Choose a color scheme for fresh flowers and change out your Wreath. Try purchasing or making your own colorful wreath to welcome spring. This will instantly update your front door. Check out these wreaths from Pottery Barn.
4. Switch out your drapes and pillows - use lighter colors through out your home to keep things like and airy this spring. I love these Mariposa Pillows from West Elm.
5. Bring the outdoors in- try placing fresh flowers in your dining room or kitchen. Fresh flowers always bring in a fresh look!
