New homes, townhomes, and apartments are being built at a rampant rate in every place you can imagine. With everything being built new, there has also been a transition in the style of cabinet preference by homeowners.
The most popular cabinet door styles right now are The Shaker, European Slab, and Glass. The shaker style is the most common because its simplicity, offers both a traditional, modern, and farmhouse design. It seems to appeal to most people. The European Slab Door became popular post-World War II, and has currently been making a comeback because of the sleek, clean, and simple design it offers. The Glass front, a more recent style cabinet door, is popular because it creates the illusion of depth and adds brightness. This door style often resonates with people who want to display items inside their cabinetry.

The most popular colors right now are white, grey, and stained woods. White has always been the number 1 when it comes to popularly, because of it is simplistic and offers a brighter design in the kitchen. The grey option is often complimentary in homes with a darker floor and countertop as it offers a softness. The stained wood cabinets are not as popular as the painted door option now, and are mostly being used in mountain homes with a cabin styled interior or wood floors. This style is less traditional but gives the inhabitant the warm feeling of living the mountains.
