THE FALL SWITCH UP

As the seasons change, we naturally want to change our atmosphere at home. I know it’s kind of hard to resist the urge to fill your Esty cart with fall themed décor, but creating a fall atmosphere involves much more than fall signs and pumpkins. Nothing wrong with adding a few pumpkins, but I think you can do better. Here are some easy tips for you.

1.) Add Throw Blankets

Throw blankets not only create the fall appeal, they are also very convenient with dropping temperatures. If you have warmer tones in your home, you could always throw in some burnt orange to mix it up. If you have cooler tones, select a nice charcoal color, and it will still feel like fall.

2) Add Artwork to your Mantel

Dust off that mantel and add some colorful art. You don’t necessarily need a “Welcome Fall” sign. Choose art that consists of warm tones like greens and reds, and you’ll get that fall feeling.

3.) Switch Out Your Pillows

Pillow covers are perfect, because they allow you to change your look from season to season. I purchase down feather pillow inserts, so I can have flexibility with my color scheme throughout the year. Pillow covers are also easier to store and wash. They don’t take up much space. A quick tip though, always buy your inserts 1 or 2 sizes bigger than your pillow cover for a fuller look.

4.) Add Candles to Your Tablescape

Using a combination of tall, short, slim, and chunky candles to your tablescape for fall, not only allows for an amazing scent, but can help bring the fall colors inside. The mix of greenery, with black candles, and the gold candle holders, in the photos below, provide a sophisticated look for fall.
