BOLD, BEAUTIFUL, TRANSITIONAL DESIGN

Earlier this year I received one of my dream clients, and she contacted me at the perfect time. She was moving into a newly built home, and already working with a local builder, but there were still changes she felt would further personalize her home. This meant, not only would I be pulling selections for new furnishings, but I would also be pulling paint colors and new lighting. My client was adamant about getting the project completed, and furnished quickly, so we tackled 7 rooms in 5 ½ months.

Here’s a photo of our client’s home almost at the end of the new build process.

As for her paint selections, we kept the existing colors in the downstairs living room, kitchen, and hallways. We changed the paint colors in my clients dining room, home office, master bedroom, upstairs family room, and her daughter’s bedroom.

Here’s a look at the original paint color. Agreeable Gray is one of the most popular paint colors builders use, since it can adapt to warm and cool hues. I actually love Agreeable Gray. Below are some of the bold colors we selected in our client’s home office and upstairs family room.

One of the reasons this was a dream client of mine was because her design style was very similar to mine. She was transitional and she loved bold colors and a black and white color scheme. She requested animal prints and bold colors from the very beginning of us working together. Another reason she was a dream client was because she was willing to have a little fun while still expecting the very best products for her home. Here’s a before and after look at our client’s daughter’s room.

These purple chairs from Caracole were one of our first selections for the living room. They were also the driving point for her full design.

Here’s a look at our client’s home office. Just what she wanted boldness and black and white.
